Venue: The Lost Gardens of Heligan

Date: August 22nd - September 3rd 2017

Hansel and Gretel

Hansel & Gretel are in the depths of magical woodland but desperate to find their way home. From stones to crumbs, can they follow their trail or will they be side-tracked by the allure of that sticky, sweet home in the woods? And what about the little old lady within? She seems positively lovely…

In August 2017, Cscape  turned the twisting pathways at The Lost Gardens of Heligan in to an evening of story-telling, dance, music, design and installation. This journey through the gardens was an evocative, surprising and memorable experience for all the family. There was darkness, light, magic and wonder… and even a few ‘sweeties’ along the way!

10 nights of ‘sold out’ shows, performing to 3000 people

Commissioned by Heligan Gardens Ltd, Funded by Arts Council England, Produced by Cscape and DR2, and Directed by Sally Knight.  Hansel & Gretel was part of A Pinch of SALT.

Additional partners and funding for Hansel and Gretel: Hall for Cornwall (where Cscape is a Resident Company) and Cultivator.
