WATCH AND LISTEN: Tree – read the book with us
Join Sally from Cscape as she reads the book and looks at the pictures from TREE by Britta Teckentrupp and Pat Hegarty from Caterpillar books. Cscape used the book to inspire all the movements and actions in the show. Do you have other favourite books that you can create some dance movements to?

Summer is here the sun is high, bees are buzzing in the sky, shimmering sunshine dances around, hear the breeze the whispering sound
Join in our summer dance movements from the Tree show where you can buzz like a bee, shimmer like the sun and listen to the breeze.
JOIN IN: Winter Dance
Winter is chilly it makes us cold, Here stands Tree, strong and old
In the Tree show, the dancers perform a winter dance, rubbing their hands together to keep warm and stretching their arms wide like a snowflake. Watch the video and join in with the movements. You might even want to learn some of the words to the rhyme as you join in!
MAKE: Woodland crowns
Take a journey into your garden, local park or woodland and see which natural treasures you can find on the ground. Maybe you’ll find flowers, feathers, sticks, leaves or acorns! Arrange your treasures to make yourself a lovely flower or woodland crown.
What you’ll need: a box or basket for collecting things in, some cardboard, double sided sticky tape or glue, scissors and a grown up to help you.
MAKE: A Nature Picture
Visit a garden, park or woodland and see what natural treasures you can find lying on the ground. Arrange the different items in shapes on the ground. Have fun experimenting with circles, lines, squares and wiggles! Iggity Ziggity Zaggity Zoom, dance along with our version of Room on the Broom! Join in with this fun story-dance video based on Julia Donaldson’s wonderful book
