Ishita Raina

Ishita’s diverse skillset includes 7 years of training in contemporary dance, aerial arts, vertical dance(harness work), physical theatre and yoga. She blends these multi-disciplinary skills to create unique movement both on the ground and in the air. She works with varied aerial apparatuses—including silks, rope, straps, and harness-based vertical dance.
Before relocating to the UK in 2021, she performed in over 1000 shows for the musical Jhumroo at the Kingdom of Dreams in Gurgaon(India). She also starred in major Omaggio in-house productions, including Playground and Jalika.
Internationally, she has collaborated and worked with companies including the National Dance Company of Wales, Gecko Theatre Company, Yskynna, Histeria Nova, C Scape, Incandescence. She also works as an associate artist with the inclusive arts company Shallal2 .
Teaching : She played a pivotal role in establishing the Omaggio performing academy in Goa,India . She has been teaching contemporary,aerial arts and vertical dance for over 15 years and has conducted workshops globally in India, Uk , Croatia and China .
Cscape is a Resident Company at Hall for Cornwall and has received funding for projects from a variety of of sources including Art Council England, FEAST, Cultivator as well as other funding bodies.
